So I applied for a job at Counter Culture Coffee last week, which lead me down a really interesting path learning about coffee. Now I have been a coffee drinker for a while now, and love Counter Culture, but I never really understood the coffee industry. It's pretty amazing the process, from the buyer traveling into remote locations, to the coffee being shipped in containers to the United States, to the roasting, packaging and marketing. There are so many steps involved that are executed to get that pristine bag of coffee that I wake up to in my kitchen. It gave me a real appreciation for that delicious hot coffee that I get to sip every day. Any way, I hope I get the job and join this amazing industry, it would be pretty sweet.
